Retrieving your insurance policy details using VAHAN E-services:
This serves as an alternative method to verify your vehicle’s insurance policy details. Follow these steps when utilizing the web portal provided by VAHAN E-services.
Step 1: Go to the VAHAN E-services website. Click on the ‘Know your vehicle details’ button.
Step 2: Input your vehicle’s registration number and the verification code.
Step 3: Click on the button tagged as ‘search vehicle’.
Step 4: After clicking the ‘search vehicle’ button, the expiry date of your insurance policy will be visible on the screen, alongside other details regarding your vehicle.
Retrieving your insurance policy details using QR code:
The IRDAI has mandated that all insurance policies include a QR code. These codes assist traffic police officers in validating the authenticity of your insurance details. If you possess a photo or a copy of the QR code linked to your insurance policy, you can scan it to check your car insurance status online.
